An elite team of psychics use mind-reading and telepathy to thwart the efforts of terrorists and the like. An interesting premise, an extrapolation from the Star Gate Project and other U.S. government experimental forays into psychics, holds some promise, even if the first issue is basically just an introduction and little more.
The team stops a group of bombers and then heads out to relax at a local night club, where one member ends up beating a misogynist/rapist in an alley based on thoughts he picked up on. Could have left something more to dangle in front of the reader, but not entirely bad over all.
The art is simple with a predominance of teal to magenta tones and lends a feel of appropriate futureness even if it’s nothing special. Not my cup of tea, but could be worth a try if you’re into the subject matter.
2 out of 5.
